FAQs
When are the cameras on?
The Alligator camera is scheduled to stream 24/7, whereas the Capybara camera is scheduled to stream from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM MST. Cameras may be off briefly during site or stream maintenance or to meet animal care needs.
The camera is on, but I don’t see any animals. Where are they?
At the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary, animals have choice and control over where to spend their time. Each species has a behind-the-scenes area that allows them to be out of sight of guests, which means they’re also out of the camera frame. Check back later!
What are those blurred-out areas?
Zoolife pixelates areas where guests are visible near animal habitats. They do this for all partners, not only to protect guest privacy but also to ensure consistency across the experience, as different institutions may have varying privacy policies.
